As second DP for this high-profile White House interview, I operated one of three Sony cinema cameras in the historic Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Working with an FX9 and 70-200mm f2.8, I composed shots of host Nick Schifrin while navigating a confined conference room setup. Strict White House security protocols demanded streamlined equipment choices and creative technical solutions. I also handled audio duties when needed, adapting to the high-pressure environment. Despite minimal setup time and challenging window lighting, we delivered broadcast-quality footage that maintained the appropriate gravitas for this National Security Advisor interview, airing on PBS national programming and digital platforms.
