THE HARD LANDING BAND

I captured and crafted this dynamic performance highlight for The Hard Landing Band using a single Sony FX3 with Sigma Art 24-70mm glass. Working solo, I employed deliberate handheld cinematography to preserve the raw energy of their live show while navigating audience members and capturing all five performers. The visual journey transitions from natural daylight into atmospheric stage lighting, mirroring the building intensity of the event itself. In post, I developed creative editing solutions to create the illusion of multi-camera coverage, weaving together footage from different moments to ensure each band member received spotlight time. The resulting piece serves dual purposes: a promotional tool for booking venues and a reflection for the musicians themselves to experience their performance from the audience perspective. Beyond technical execution, the band's enthusiastic reaction—immediately sharing with friends and family—affirmed that the video successfully captured both their musical essence and unique stage personalities.
